Luminița Pişcoran made her debut in the IBU Cup at the beginning of the 2008/09 season in Obertilliach and was in her first individual 38th, which she immediately won her first points. The highlight of the first season was participation in the 2009 Junior World Championships in Canmore . In the individual and sprint, she reached 41st place, was 30th in the pursuit and ninth in the relay race. Shortly afterwards, she took part in the 2009 European Junior Biathlon Championships in Ufa , where she was eighth in the individual, 13th in the sprint and ninth in the pursuit and won bronze with Diana Mihalache and Réka Ferencz in the relay race. In the junior races of the Summer Biathlon World Championships in 2009 in Oberhof , Pișcoran started both in cross-country competitions and on roller skis . In the cross she reached the 12th place in the sprint as well as in the pursuit, on roller skis she came 24th in the sprint and 16th in the pursuit. With Réka Ferencz, Ștefan Gavrilă and Roland Gerbacea , she also won another bronze medal in the mixed relay race. At the Summer Biathlon European Championships 2009 in Nové Město na Moravě , she won her first international individual medal with silver in the mass start. In the following season she ran in Obertilliach with a 23rd place in the sprint to her previous best placement in the IBU Cup. The Romanian took part in the 2010 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Duszniki-Zdrój . She finished 17th in the sprint and 15th in the pursuit race based on it. In Östersund Pişcoran came at the beginning of the 2010/11 season for their first use in the Biathlon World Cup and was 79 in an individual. In the further course of the season, she improved her best to a 52nd place in the pursuit race in Presque Isle . The highlight of the season were the first Pișcoran's World Championships in Khanty-Mansiysk , where she was 75th of the individual and 90th of the sprint. Later in the year, she was a Romanian at the Summer Biathlon European Championships 2011 in Martell , where she was 18th in the sprint, 17th in the pursuit and seventh with Diana Marian Salman , Cătălin Pirtu and Remus Faur in the mixed relay. Pișcoran won his first World Cup points as 35th in 2012 in a sprint in Nové Město. At the Holmenkollen in Oslo she improved a little later to a 26th place in the sprint.
