The 15th IBU Summer Biathlon World Championships took place from September 19 to 26, 2010 in the Polish city of Duszniki-Zdrój . The originally planned venue Bansko in Bulgaria could not act as the organizer due to flooding of parts of the route. For the first time in 2010, no cross-country competitions were held. The medals were awarded in two individual disciplines for men and women as well as in a mixed relay. Athletes from Slovakia won both men's titles, while Polish athletes won both women's and mixed titles. Krystyna Pałka was the most successful participant with two gold and one silver medal.
