Tomáš Holubec

Tomáš Holubec (born January 11, 1976 in Jilemnice ) is a former Czech biathlete .

Tomáš Holubec has been practicing biathlon since 1989. The maintenance technician from Valterice starts for the SKP Jymbolx . He is trained by Milan Janoušek.

Holubec made his debut in the World Cup in Pokljuka in 1996 . His first race was a sprint, which he finished 52nd. The highlight of his first season was participation in the 1997 Biathlon World Championships , where he was 74th in the sprint. In 2000 he was able to do Sprint 25 in Antholz . collect world cup points for the first time. In Hochfilzen he won a relay world cup with Zdeněk Vítek , Ivan Masařík and Petr Garabík in the Czech relay. In 2002 he started in the sprint (32nd) and in the pursuit (45th) at the Olympic Games in Salt Lake City . In Oberhof he achieved his best ever World Cup result in eleventh place in the sprint at the 2004 Biathlon World Championships . In 2006 he started again at the Olympic Games , in Turin he competed in singles and finished 33rd. In the 2011/12 season , Holubec was able to achieve his best result in the World Cup with ninth place at the World Cup in Hochfilzen.
