Zdeněk Vítek (born July 25, 1977 in Vrchlabí , Czechoslovakia ) is a former Czech biathlete and today's biathlon trainer.

The sports teacher who lives in Jilemnice has been practicing biathlon since 1992 and was appointed to the national team of the Czech Republic for the first time in 1998. He starts for SKP Jablonec and is trained by Ondrej Rybar. His greatest success so far was winning the bronze medal at the 2003 Biathlon World Championships in Khanty-Mansiysk . Two World Cup victories are also on the books.

Zdeněk Vítek has participated in the Winter Olympics four times. The games in Turin were the best, as Vítek proved to be among the best in the world by finishing 10th in the sprint and 16th in the pursuit.

After the 2013/14 season he ended his sporting career and took over the office of women's coach in the Czech association from the following season. Four years later, he moved to the men's team in this position. For the 2020/21 season , he finally took over the men's Czech IBU Cup team.
