Milanko Petrović (born September 21, 1988 in Sjenica ) is a former Serbian biathlete .

Milanko Petrović starts for SK Jelenak . He has competed in the Junior European Cup since 2005. In 2006 he started at the European Junior Championships in Langdorf , where he was 75th in the individual and 67th in the sprint. In the summer of the year the Serb competed at the Junior World Championships in the summer biathlon in Ufa and achieved 15th place in sprint and pursuit as the best results. Petrović has been running in the European Biathlon Cup since the 2006/07 season . He contested his first race in 2006 in Obertilliach and was 108th of the sprint. In Martell he was used in 2007 at the Junior World Championships and was 63rd in the sprint race. At the European Junior Championships in Bansko his best result was a 40th place in the individual. At the start of the 2007/08 season , Petrović made his debut in Kontiolahti in the Biathlon World Cup . In the individual he was 118. In 2008 three major events followed one another. First Petrović was 77th in the individual and 76th in the sprint at the Junior World Championships in Ruhpolding , then 102nd in the individual, 112th in the sprint and 24th in the relay race at the Biathlon World Championships in 2008 in Östersund . After the World Cup, he ran at the Biathlon European Championships in 2008 in Nové Město na Moravě and was there 65th of the individual. In Haute-Maurienne , Petrović finally ran at the 2008 Summer Biathlon World Championships . In the cross-country competitions, the Serb finished 30th in the sprint and 25th in the pursuit, in the better-filled competitions on roller skis, he reached 28th in the sprint and 23rd in the pursuit. In the Czech Republic he was also 88th of the individual, qualified as 49th of the sprint for the pursuit, in which he achieved his best result at a world championship with 47th place. At the European Championships 2012 in Osrblie , Petrović finished ninth in the sprint, his best international placement, was 23rd in the pursuit and 20th in the individual, in 2013 in Bansko he was 37th in the individual and 22nd in the sprint. In the 2013/14 season , Petrović improved his best performance in the first sprint of the season in Östersund to 31st place.

In addition to biathlon, Petrović also does cross-country skiing . In the sport he has also been participating in races since 2005. Here he mainly starts in lower-class events, for example in FIS races, Alpine , Balkan and Scandinavian Cups . However, his results are so far not worth mentioning, the best results are in the top 20. At the Balkan Championships in 2003 he won the bronze medal in the 10-kilometer race. In December 2013 he won gold in the 10 km freestyle at the Winter Universiade in Lago di Tesero . At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , he competed in biathlon and cross-country skiing. In biathlon, he finished 69th in sprint and individual. In cross-country skiing, 50th place in the 50 km mass start race was his best result.
