Date: Thursday, March 1, 2012, 3:30 p.m.

Registered and at the start: 27 nations, lapped (LPD): 5, not finished (DNF): 1

The Norwegian relay team received a time credit of 28.4 seconds because a regular hit by Ole Einar Bjørndalen was mistakenly registered as a mistake and he then had to run a penalty loop.

Austria ( Iris Waldhuber , Ramona Düringer , Friedrich Pinter , Christoph Sumann ) received a time penalty totaling six minutes. In three bouts of shooting, not all shots, including the required reloads, were fired. This resulted in a two-minute time penalty in each case. The team finished 21st in 1: 23: 38.1 h (1 + 9).
