Serhij Oleksandrowytsch Semenow ( Ukrainian Сергій Олександрович Семенов ; born July 28, 1988 in Chernihiv , Ukrainian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Ukrainian biathlete.

Career

Semenov, who lives in Chernihiv, has been running biathlon since 1999. The car lover is trained by Oleksandr Semenov and Oleksandr Wortschak. At the 2009 European Junior Championships , he won the individual silver medal. Serhij Semenow has been running in the Biathlon World Cup since the 2009/2010 season . In his second race, a sprint in Pokljuka , he was able to take 19th place and win his first World Cup points. Within a short time he achieved several placements among the best 25th. 2010 Semenow achieved his best result so far in Antholz when he was 13th in the sprint. Serhiy Semenov took part in the 2010 Winter Olympics. His best result was 33rd place in the sprint. In the 2014/15 season he won the World Cup in this category for the first time in his career after a second and a third place in the individual.
