Romana Schrempf started for the WSV Ramsau . For the 2002/03 season she competed in her first international cross-country skiing races as part of the Continental Cup and in FIS races, and later also in the cross-country Alpine Cup . At the FIS Junior Ski World Championships in Stryn in 2004, the Austrian was 18th in freestyle races over 5 kilometers and 26th in the sprint. In 2007 Schrempf won an FIS 10-kilometer freestyle race in Eisenerz . In 2007 she won the national runner -up title in Kitzbühel in the 15-kilometer freestyle behind Kateřina Smutná and silver in Hochfilzen over 10 km and in pursuit and bronze in the sprint. At the national championships in 2008 she won silver in the sprint, over 5 km and 15 km. In 2011 she competed with the Styrian cross-country skiing relay in Obertilliach and won silver there.
For the 2009/10 season , Schrempf switched from cross-country skiing to biathlon. She made her international debut here at the IBU Cup in Idre , where she was 59th in her first sprint race. At the start of the World Cup , she also made her debut in the highest racing series in biathlon in 2009. In Östersund she ran to 95th place in the sprint and took part in Austria's first women's relay in the World Cup with Iris Waldhuber , Ramona Düringer and Kerstin Muschet and took 17th place with her colleagues. In Hochfilzen , she achieved her best place in a World Cup race to date with an 88th place in a sprint race. National she won the Austrian Championships in biathlon in 2010 in Hochfilzen from roller skiing in the individual behind Waldhuber and Muschet the bronze medal. At the start of the 2011/12 World Cup in Östersund, Romana Schrempf finished 26th in the individual and won her first points in the World Cup. In Hochfilzen, she was able to improve her best performance a little later in the season in a sprint race to 21st place. After the 2012/13 season, Schrempf ended her career.
