Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2004

The 37th Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2004 took place from February 2nd to 8th, 2004 in Stryn, Norway . They were carried out for the third time in Norway after 1984 ( Trondheim ) and 1989 ( Vang ).

The most successful nation in the title fights was Russia with four gold, one silver and four bronze medals, followed by Norway, which also won four gold medals but was unable to collect any other precious metal, and Germany, which won one gold, five silver and four bronze medals highest medal yield reached. The most successful athletes were the Russian cross-country skier Irina Artjomowa and the Norwegian combined skier Petter Tande , each with three gold medals.

Competition venues

The ski jumping competitions were held on Bjørkelibakken , which was built in 1996 . The cross-country competitions of the combiners and the specialists were held on trails in the area.
