Career

Bresadola, who was part of the Italian national team from 2003, started on January 19, 2003 for the first time in an FIS Nordic Combined sprint competition. At the Junior World Championships 2003 in Sollefteå he reached the 54th place in the sprint and 13th place with the team. A year later he started at the 2004 Junior World Championships in Stryn in ski jumping and finished eighth with the team. On January 10, 2004 he made his debut in the B combined World Cup. In 2005 he won the silver medal in the sprint at the Italian championships behind Jochen Strobl . At the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin , Bresadola competed in Nordic combined and ski jumping. In the sprint of the combination he reached 44th place. In the team competition, the team dropped out of the competition after the first round in jumping and reached 11th place. In 2008 he won the silver medal at the Italian ski jumping championships on both the normal and the large hill. The Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec were the only World Ski Championships in which he participated as a Nordic combined athlete. He took seventh place with the team and 32nd place in the individual competition on the large hill.

In August 2009, Bresadola jumped for the first time in the FIS Cup and on July 3, 2010 he made his debut in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup . A year later he competed in the Ski Jumping Grand Prix for the first time . After Bresadola first took part in a single jump in the ski jumping World Cup on January 30, 2011 in Willingen and finished 46th, on February 12, 2011 in Vikersund on the world's largest flying hill, he scored the first five World Cup points of his career with rank 26 . At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 2011 , he took part in a Nordic World Ski Championships for the first time as a ski jumper. On the normal hill he failed in the qualification for the individual jumping and finished eleventh with the team. On the large hill, he finished 36th in the individual competition.

On February 3, 2013 he was able to repeat  his best World Cup result, 26th place, in Harrachov - also in a ski flying competition - after almost years. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2013 in Val di Fiemme , he finished 44th in the individual competition on the normal hill, but failed in qualifying on the large hill. In the team competition on the large hill, he reached the finals and was eighth.

In the 2013/14 season he was able to reach the finals in the World Cup several times for the first time and collect more World Cup points. He improved his best individual placement to 13th place on December 6, 2013 in Lillehammer and was 62nd in the overall World Cup with 36 points. In February 2014 he took part in the Winter Olympics in Sochi . He was disqualified in the individual competition on the normal hill and on the large hill he just failed in qualification as 41st. At the Ski Flying World Championships in Harrachov in March 2014, he finished 40th in the individual competition.

On December 6, 2014, he jumped into the top ten at the World Cup in Lillehammer for the first time and improved his best career result to ninth place. At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2015 in Falun , he started in all four competitions. On the normal hill, he finished 37th in the individual and nine in the mixed team competition. On the large hill, he was 36th in the individual and twelfth with the team and thus missed the finals in all competitions. In the overall World Cup of the 2014/15 season , he achieved his best result to date with 52nd place.

In the 2015/16 season he only took part in a few World Cup competitions and did not get any points. He started more and more in the Continental Cup , but stayed in the lower ranks here too. In the summer of 2016 he won his first two FIS Cup competitions in Szczyrk on July 9th and 10th , and on September 24th he was victorious in the Continental Cup in Wisła for the first time . After a season without World Cup points, he was able to jump into the top 30 twice in the 2016/17 season and collected 14 World Cup points. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 2017 , he took 27th place in the individual competition on the normal hill, seventh place in the mixed team competition and 48th place in the individual on the large hill.

In the summer of 2017, Bresadola successfully jumped in the Summer Grand Prix . After a top ten placement and others among the top 20, he achieved 22nd place overall with 112 points and thus his best career result. However, he could not take these achievements with him into the winter season. He did not achieve a result in the points in the World Cup . In February 2018, he took part in the Winter Olympics for the third time in Pyeongchang . He finished 35th in the individual competition on the normal hill and 47th in the individual competition on the large hill . With the Italian team he was eleventh on the large hill .
