Tyga
Tyga (born November 19, 1989 in Compton , California ; real name Michael Ray Nguyen-Stevenson ) is an American rapper and music producer who was under contract with the Young Money Entertainment label from 2007 to 2014 . His international breakthrough came in 2009, especially with the song Rack City . The name "Tyga" is an acronym for " T hank Y ou G od A lways". He is also known under the name "T-Raww", mostly through his self-produced videos, but also through his LA Gear-produced sports shoes "T-Raww Runners". The name of his own fashion brand and music label is "Last Kings", where z. B. Honey Cocaine or AE are employed.

Earlier life
Michael Ray Nguyen-Stevenson was born in Compton , California . At the age of eleven, he and his family moved to Gardena , which is also in California. He is of both Vietnamese and Jamaican descent. His early interest in musicians like Fabolous , Lil Wayne , Cam'ron and Eminem influenced his later musical style.
The origin of his pseudonym is inconclusive, as he said his mother gave him the nickname " Tiger Woods " at the time . Other rumors claim that his stage name "Tyga" is an acronym for "Thank You God Always". In a status posted on Twitter , he wrote, “If you're 14 and ambitious, don't bet on anything in particular. It is not a mandatory television program that we all live for. "
Private
Tyga met urban model and stripper Blac Chyna for the first time on October 5, 2011 at the FAME tour after party with Chris Brown at the King of Diamonds Club in Miami. She starred shortly after in Tyga's official music video for his track Rack City . They officially became a couple on November 9, 2011, and in March 2012 they featured on the cover of Urban Ink magazine. In the same month, rumors of Blac Chyna's pregnancy were circulating in the media. In July 2012, the rumor was confirmed when Tyga and Blac Chyna tried to hide their clearly recognizable baby bump at the Six Flags theme park. Career
2007–2012: musical beginnings and breakthrough
He first came into the music business in 2007 through his cousin Travie McCoy . After Michael Ray Nguyen-Stevenson had released several mixtapes , his debut album No Introduction was released on June 10, 2008 , which already made its first commercial success and is considered to be his debut in the US album charts. Then DJs and producers like DJ Ill Will and DJ Rockstar became aware of him and started working with him. In 2010 he then recorded the 20-track mixtape Fan of a Fan together with the American singer and rapper Chris Brown , which was released that same year. The single Deuces was released , in which he and Brown also worked with rapper Kevin McCall . The song rose to number 14 on the US charts . The song was also nominated for Best Collaboration - Rap / Vocal at the 53rd Grammy Awards .
After releasing more mixtapes, his second album Careless World - Rise of the Last King was originally planned for 2011, but was postponed: first to January 24, 2012, and later to February 21. It was released in Germany on March 13, 2012. Tyga had previously had his greatest success in the single charts with the single Rack City . The song reached number 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 . The following single releases Faded , in collaboration with Lil Wayne , one of his idols at the time, as well as Make It Nasty ensured several chart placements and record awards. After his initial successes, Tyga founded the Last Kings online store in 2012 . At the same time, the third part of his Well Done mixtape series was released. 2013–2014: Hotel California & Well Done 4
On April 7, 2013, Tyga released his third studio album Hotel California . He collaborated with artists such as Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, The Game and Wiz Khalifa, among others . In particular, Cool & Dre , David DA Doman and once again DJ Mustard appeared as producers . Hotel California surpassed the success of its previous album Carless World and advanced to the top 10 of the US album chart and also for the first time in the German album charts. The extracted songs Dope with Rick Ross , For the Road with Chris Brown and Show You with Future gave him great commercial success on the one hand, as well as an ever stronger growth in his fan base. The remix received strong positive reviews, but apart from a YouTube upload by Tyga himself, no other type of release followed.
2015: Ride Out / Fan Of A Fan: The Album
On February 16, 2015, the song Ride Out in collaboration with Kid Ink , Rich Homie Quan , YG and Wale appeared on the Internet without any promotion . The official music video also premiered on the same day. Ride Out is the title track from the Fast & Furious 7 soundtrack album and was also released as a single. Both the lyrics and the music video, which shows scenes from the film, allude to those.
After the success of the first Fan Of A Fan and high demand for a successor, Tyga and Chris Brown decided to start working on a second mixtape. In autumn 2014 they confirmed that a release would take place in 2015, whereby they wanted to release Fan Of A Fan 2 not as a mixtape, but as an album, under the title Fan Of A Fan: The Album . On January 6th, 2015 the first pre-release of the album with the title Ayo was released . The track Bitches n Marijuana was released on February 7, 2015 as the second single from the album Fan Of A Fan: The Album . The song was recorded in collaboration with the American rapper Schoolboy Q , best known for the song White Walls with Macklemore and Ryan Lewis . The song reached number 52 in the German single charts after just one week. Another song was made available for download on February 17, 2015. This was the track Remember Me . After just a few hours, Remember Me was in the top 20 of the German iTunes charts. On February 24, 2015, the official, worldwide release of the album Fan Of A Fan: The Album took place .
The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty
He landed another great success in 2014 with the song Wait for a Minute , released in 2013 , which he recorded in collaboration with the Canadian singer Justin Bieber . It hit the singles charts in over 10 countries, including top 10 placements in Belgium and Denmark. The title should form a first pre-release of his following studio album The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty , which he discarded. The album was announced in autumn 2013 for spring 2014, but the date was postponed to November 18, 2014. There were further postponements to December 23, 2014 and then to January 27, 2015. However, this release date could not be kept due to disputes with the record label Cash Money . Another single was released on April 9, 2014. The song is called hookah . The American rapper Young Thug was a guest musician . The song could not reach placements in the official charts. Nevertheless, it rose to number 10 on the German black charts and number 4 on the US Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles. On October 14, 2014, the single 40 Mill , which was produced by Kanye West , followed. Shortly thereafter, another single was released on October 27th, entitled Make It Work , which will be featured on his third installment in his Black Thoughts mixtape series.
On May 19, 2015, another single Hollywood Niggaz was released , in which he indirectly addresses the controversies of recent times that have arisen through his relationship with Kylie Jenner . On June 16, 2015, the second single, Pleazer, was released with the American rapper Boosie BadAzz , which further explores this topic. The album was only released by Tyga on Spotify on June 23, 2015 without any announcement, based on his statement: “ […] might just leak it for my fans then let them make $ off it. In addition to the two previously released singles, the album contains 10 other songs, with guest appearances by AE ( Muh Fucka ) and his long-term colleague and friend Lil Wayne ( 4 My Dawgs ). The album was mostly produced by him, Mike Dean and Kanye West , whose agency DONDA also designed the album cover completely out of gold, which shows a Horus falcon with outstretched wings in the front view.
On January 15, 2016, the EP Rawwest Nigga Alive was released , which includes the song Rumorz with Chris Brown. At the same time Tyga released the song Gone Too Far , the first single from the studio album BitchImTheShit2 . This was followed by a number of other pre-single releases, including the songs 1 of 1 and Feel Me with Kanye West . The studio album was released on July 21, 2017. in full length. 2018–2019: Legendary
In February 2018, Tyga released the studio album Kyoto , which, however, did not make it into the charts. This was followed by the song key , which he with offset of Migos recorded. With this he reached the top 10 of the US single charts for the first time since 2011. Swish was only marginally able to build on the success. In collaboration with Nicki Minaj , Tyga released a remix for the song Dip , which went gold in the US.
In January 2019 he released the singles Goddamn and Girls Have Fun , a collaboration with rappers Rich the Kid and G-Eazy . In June of this year Tyga released his new album Legendary followed by the single Haute , a collaboration with good friends and colleagues Chris Brown and J Balvin . The album includes the hit single Taste and an extended version of the single Goddamn . The other singles that came out before the album was released are not on the album.
