The Ski Jumping World Cup 2016/17 was a series of competitions in ski jumping organized by the World Ski Federation FIS . The men's World Cup began on November 25, 2016 in Ruka , ended on March 26, 2017 in Planica and comprised 27 individual and six team competitions, 29 of which were held in Europe and four in Asia . The women's World Cup started on December 2, 2016 in Lillehammer , ended on March 12, 2017 in Oslo and consisted of 19 individual competitions, 13 of which were held in Europe and six in Asia.

Men

As the first Austrian since Gregor Schlierenzauer in the 2012/13 season , Stefan Kraft won the overall World Cup, relegating the winner of the Four Hills Tournament, Kamil Stoch, to second place. Daniel-André Tande took third place, just like in the overall ranking of the Four Hills Tournament, where he narrowly missed the win.

Another notable place was fourth place for Andreas Wellinger , who after a weak start to the season in the second half of the season, in addition to a win in Willingen, took second place eight times and third place twice. The 17-year-old Domen Prevc , who with his revolutionary jumping style had dominated the jumps in the run-up to the Four Hills Tournament with four wins, then only came third on the podium in Wisła and ultimately finished sixth in the overall standings. His older brother and defending champion Peter couldn't get past a win in Sapporo and ninth place overall.

Participating Nations

Jumpers from 20 nations took part in the men's World Cup.

Europe (15 nations)
America (2 nations)
Asia (3 nations)
