The two-storey saddle roof building with quarry stone masonry is built using the Jura construction method . He has an older vaulted cellar and adjoining barn .
In 2010, Maria and Peter Schreyer received the Monument Protection Medal of the Free State of Bavaria for the exemplary renovation of the monument.
Maria and Peter Schreyer, Christa Berghammer and Franziska and Alois Schröppel were jointly awarded the Lower Bavaria District Monument Prize in 2010 for the exemplary restoration of the three listed Jura houses Donaustraße 38, Donaustraße 52 and Donaustraße 56 in Oberndorf .
