The Ski Jumping World Cup 2000/01 (official sponsor name : ruhrgas FIS Ski Jumping World Cup 2000/01 ) was one of the International Ski Federation FIS discharged between 24 November 2000 and 18 March 2001, 17 different locations in Europe, Asia and North America series of competitions in ski jumping . The original plan was to hold 25 individual and five team competitions. Four individual and one team competitions had to be canceled without replacement, so that 21 individual competitions and four team competitions were included in the rating. This season, Poland's Adam Małysz won the overall standings, followed by German defending champion Martin Schmitt and Finn Risto Jussilainen in second and third place . Martin Schmitt was able to secure victory in the ski flying competition, which was held for the last time, ahead of Adam Małysz and Risto Jussilainen. Last year's winner Sven Hannawald from Germany took ninth place. The national championship was won by defending champion Finland , ahead of the teams from Austria and Germany .
