Stefan Kaiser (born February 15, 1983 in Villach ) is a former Austrian ski jumper .

Career

Stefan Kaiser is a member of the Carinthian association SV Achomitz. The Gailtal village of Achomitz has gained the reputation of a ski jumping village over the last half century and has already produced jumpers like Karl Schnabl , Hans Wallner , Hans Millonig and Sepp Gratzer .

At the Youth Olympics, Stefan Kaiser was Vice Youth Olympic Champion with the team and third in the individual competition. At the Junior World Championships in 1999 in Saalfelden am Steinernen Meer and in 2000 in Štrbské Pleso, Slovakia, he was junior world champion with the team, in 2001 he was vice-junior world champion with the team in Karpacz, Poland, and was able to achieve third place in individual jumping in 1999 and 2001. He won three competitions in the Continental Cup and achieved a total of twelve podium places.

In 2001 Kaiser set a new hill record on the Wielka Krokiew ski jump in Zakopane with a width of 135.5 meters and improved the previous record of Aleksander Bojda by five meters.

In the World Cup Kaiser was among the top 15 three times: 7th place in Oberstdorf (GER), tour, 9th place in Falun (SWE) and 14th place in Sapporo (JPN).

In the 2006/07 season, Stefan Kaiser jumped with varying success in the Continental Cup, the Universiade and the FIS Cup.

After the Universiade 2009 in Harbin, China, where he again won the silver medal in team jumping with the Austrian team, he ended his career.
