The Ski Jumping World Cup 1983/84 (official name: FIS World Cup Ski Jumping 1983-84 ) was one of the International Ski Federation FIS between 10 December 1983 and 25 March 1984 discharged at 17 different locations in Europe, North America and Asia series of competitions in ski jumping . The World Cup consisted of 22 individual competitions, and World Cup points were also awarded at the Winter Olympics held in Sarajevo this season , so that 24 individual competitions were included in the evaluation. East German Jens Weißflog won the overall standings this season , Finnish defending champion Matti Nykänen and Czechoslovakian Pavel Ploc followed in second and third place . Finland won the Nations Cup ahead of the German Democratic Republic and Czechoslovakia. The team from Norway that was victorious in the previous year finished fifth.
Season preparation
The ÖSV ski jumpers under coach Max Golser had trained on roller shoes for the first time in the summer of 1983.

Ratings
World Cup points were awarded for places 1 to 15 (1st place = 25 points, 2nd place = 20 points, 3rd place = 15 points, from 4th to 15th place, 12 points to 1 point, descending). There were struck out results. To this end, the season was divided into two halves. From the competitions in December and January only the five best results of an athlete were counted. The five best results of an athlete were also counted from the competitions in February and March.
For the nation ranking, all points were taken into account (no deletion results).
Points that were deducted from a jumper as a cancellation result are indicated in brackets, if applicable.
