Rajko Lotrič (born August 20, 1962 in Jesenice ) is a former Yugoslav ski jumper .

Career

Lotrič competed in the ski jumping world cup from 1980 to 1991 . He competed in his first World Cup competition on March 8, 1980 in Lahti . He was able to win his first World Cup point with 15th place. In the following season 1980/81 he jumped 7th place in the ski flying in Ironwood for the first time among the top ten. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 1982 Lotrič jumped to 34th place on the normal and 46th place on the large hill. In the following seasons Lotrič could only rarely jump into the points.

He only achieved a top placement on January 17, 1988, when he jumped to 7th place in Gallio . At the Olympic Winter Games in Calgary in 1988 Lotrič jumped to 26th place on the normal hill.

On March 27, 1988, he achieved his first and only podium finish with second place in the second competition in Planica . He finished the season in 20th place in the overall World Cup ranking.

At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 1989 , he reached 52nd place on the normal hill. In the three World Cup competitions after the World Championships in Planica and Örnsköldsvik Lotrič was able to jump into the points again.

In his last season in 1990/91 he was denied further successes, so that in 1991 he ended his eleven-year ski jumping career rather unsuccessfully.
