Tomaž Dolar (born October 27, 1966 in Jesenice ) is a former Yugoslav ski jumper .

Career

Dolar jumped his first jumping in the ski jumping world cup as part of the Four Hills Tournament 1983/84 . However, he was unsuccessful and usually ended up only in the back places. In 1984 he was nominated for the Nordic World Ski Championships in Engelberg and achieved fifth place in the team competition together with Miran Tepeš , Vasja Bajc and Primož Ulaga . At the Olympic Winter Games in Sarajevo in 1984 , at the age of 17, he surprisingly jumped to 11th place on the large hill.

At the Nordic World Ski Championships 1985 in Seefeld in Tyrol , Dolar reached 41st place on the normal hill. In his first world cup competition after the world championship, he achieved world cup points in both competitions in Lahti and jumped to 13th and 14th place. He was only able to surpass these results on December 20, 1987 with 12th place in Sapporo . The Four Hills Tournament 1987/88 was again unsuccessful for Dolar, so that he ended his active ski jumping career after the tour was over.
