The 36th Four Hills Tournament 1987/88 was part of the Ski Jumping World Cup 1987/1988 .
The jumping in Oberstdorf took place on December 30, 1987, the jumping in Garmisch-Partenkirchen on January 1, 1988 and the jumping in Innsbruck on January 4, 1988 . The final event in Bischofshofen was held on January 6, 1988.
The Finn Matti Nykänen won the overall standings by a large margin over Jens Weißflog (GDR) and Jiří Parma (ČSSR). After a second place at the start in Oberstdorf, he won the following three competitions. Nykänen also won the overall World Cup and three gold medals at the Olympic Games in Calgary this season .
