Thomas Klauser (born June 9, 1964 in Reit im Winkl ) is a former German ski jumper . He started for the WSV Reit im Winkl . Alongside Andreas Bauer , Klauser was the most successful West German ski jumper of the 1980s.

Klauser was German champion a total of six times, in 1988 on the normal hill and in 1980, 1981, 1985, 1986 and 1988 on the large hill. At the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary , he reached fourth place on the large hill and sixth place in the team competition, which was held for the first time. His best result at the Nordic World Ski Championships was a fifth place on the large hill in 1987 in Oberstdorf . At the ski flying world championships his best place was a sixth place in 1986 on the Kulm . In the World Cup , in which Klauser participated from its introduction in 1979 to the end of his career in 1991, he was able to jump on the podium five times. Klauser is currently active as the technical delegate of the FIS in various jumps.
