Mark John Konopacke (born April 26, 1963 in Iron Mountain ) is a retired American ski jumper .

On January 19, 1983, Konopacke made his World Cup debut in Lake Placid at the age of 20 . He was able to win his first four World Cup points with 11th place. Almost exactly a year later he again achieved World Cup points in Planica . He was then permanently included in the national team for the 1984/85 World Cup season .

At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1985 in Seefeld in Tyrol , he reached 23rd place on the large hill and 47th place on the normal hill. In the team competition he achieved 5th place together with Nils Stolzlechner , Rick Mewborn and Mike Holland .

At the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary , Canada , Konopacke jumped 18th on the normal hill and 42nd on the large hill. In team jumping he reached 10th place together with Ted Langlois , Dennis McGrane and Mike Holland .

Shortly after the Olympics, he became the American jumping champion in Ishpemping .

At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 1989 he remained as unsuccessful as in the previous World Cup competitions. He only achieved 46th place on the normal hill and 61st place on the large hill. Also in the World Cup season 1989/90 he was unsuccessful and could not book any points. After the 1990/1991 season started badly for him, Konopacke ended his active international ski jumping career after the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1991 in Val di Fiemme , where he reached 44th place on the normal hill and 60th place on the large hill. However, he entered again at the US championship in 1991 in Steamboat Springs and won the gold medal there.
