John Theodore Langlois , called Tad Langlois (born January 25, 1968 in Paterson , New Jersey ) is a former American ski jumper .

Langlois made his international debut at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary . There he reached the 50th place from the large hill. In the team competition he finished tenth together with Mark Konopacke , Dennis McGrane and Mike Holland . On December 30, 1988, Langlois made his debut in the ski jumping World Cup . In Oberstdorf he jumped to 65th place at the start of the Four Hills Tournament in 1988/89 . At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 1989 , he jumped from the normal hill to 62nd and from the large hill to 48th place. At the ski flying world championship in Vikersund a year later , Langlois flew to 44th place. Despite continuing unsuccessful jumping without winning World Cup points, Langlois was part of the line-up for the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville . There he was at the end of jumping from the normal hill tied with the Japanese Jirō Kamiharako and the Swede Magnus Westman in 28th place. He jumped from the large hill to 48th place and with the team he was twelfth in the end. With the introduction of the new World Cup points system, which now provided for points up to 30th place, he was able to win World Cup points for the first time on December 12, 1993 in Planica with 22nd place. A week later he achieved his highest individual result in Engelberg with 6th place. At the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer , he jumped from the normal hill to 33rd and from the large hill to 35th place. In team jumping he was eleventh with the team. After he finished the 1993/94 World Cup season with an 18th place in the 1994 Ski Flying World Championship , which was classified as a World Cup, he was able to occupy 38th place in the overall World Cup ranking. Shortly before, however, he started jumping in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup parallel to the World Cup . However, Langlois remained largely unsuccessful in this series. He ended his active ski jumping career when he started at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1995 in Thunder Bay , where he again reached 36th place on the normal hill.
