The Ski Jumping World Cup 2002/03 (official sponsor name : ruhrgas FIS Ski Jumping World Cup 2002/03 ) was one of the International Ski Federation FIS between 29 November 2002 and 23 March 2003 to 17 different locations in Europe and Asia discharged series of competitions in ski jumping . The original plan was to hold 28 individual and two team competitions. An individual competition had to be canceled without replacement, so that 27 individual competitions were included in the evaluation. The victory in the overall standings was won for the third time in a row by Pole Adam Małysz , followed by German Sven Hannawald and Austrian Andreas Widhölzl in second and third place . The team from Austria won the Nations Cup , ahead of Finland and Norway . The team from Germany that won last year finished fourth.

Changes to the regulations

As of this season, jumping suits may only protrude six centimeters from the body at specified measuring points, instead of the previous eight to ten centimeters. A change in the awarding of the posture marks tested during the Summer Grand Prix 2002 was rejected and not included in the World Cup regulations.
