Kai Bracht (born April 27, 1978 in Eberbach ) is a former German ski jumper and lives in Oberstdorf . He started his career on the Katzenbuckelschanze in the Odenwald . In 1996 he was junior world champion. He is currently working as the national coach of the Nordic combined athletes. Kai Bracht is the younger brother of Timo Bracht , German triathlete and Ironman European Champion 2009.

Career

Bracht made his debut in the 1994/95 season in the Continental Cup . He jumped to first place three times in the Continental Cup competition. At the Junior World Championships in Asiago in 1996 , he took third place with the team. His debut in the World Cup followed on January 24, 2002 in Hakuba . He achieved the best result in the team world cup competition in Sapporo with fourth place. At the Winter Universiade in Innsbruck / Seefeld , he took 15th place. At the German Championships he was three times master in the team, once master in the individual, once second in the team and twice third in the team. Kai Bracht is now part of the DSV combined team with Ronny Ackermann as a discipline trainer for jumping.
