The Marikollen in Rælingen is a normal hill of category K 88. It is the only hill belonging to the Marikollen Skisenter , which also includes a downhill slope and other winter sports facilities.
history
The ski jump was built in 1959 by the Rælingen Skiklubb . From 1961 Norwegian championships in ski jumping took place on her. Also in 1963, 1971, 1975 and 1981 the championships of the normal hill were held on the hill. The first competition in the Ski Jumping World Cup on the Marikollen was scheduled for March 10, 1983, but it was canceled. In 1986 mats were placed on the hill so that it was now possible to jump in summer as well. On March 20, 1987, the first and so far only World Cup competition was held on the hill, which was won by the Norwegian Vegard Opaas . Between 1999 and 2002, the ski jumping Continental Cup took place at the Marikollen . Before that, the Norwegian Championships were held here again in 1995. In 2002 the Norwegian Association made another guest appearance in Rælingen.
Since 2002 there has been no international jumping on the Marikollen. The hill is only used nationally and as a training center today. In 2008 the ski jump got a new porcelain track.
