The 2002/03 Skeleton World Cup was a series of skeleton competitions organized by the FIBT between November 23, 2002 and February 2, 2003 . The highlight of the season was the 2003 Skeleton World Championship in Nagano after the World Cup races . The American Chris Soule and the Canadian Michelle Kelly won the overall ratings for the first time. In the national rankings, the USA were also ahead for men and Canada for women. The overall winner of the previous season, Gregor Stähli , came in fifth; Last year's winner Alexandra Coomber ended her career after the 2002 Olympic Games . The European Cup and America's Cup served as the foundation for the World Cup .
