Paul Boehm

Paul Boehm (born August 10, 1974 ) is a Canadian skeleton driver .

Paul Boehm began playing skeleton in 1998. He is trained by Teresa Schlachter . He has been participating in international competitions since the end of 1999. He made his debut as 30th in the Skeleton World Cup at a race in Calgary . He achieved his first notable result two years later, again in Calgary as third place in a race in the America's Cup , and in the overall ranking of the competition he was seventh. At the Canadian Championships in 2002 he won the bronze medal.

In December 2002 he came fourth in Lake Placid for the first time in the top ten in a World Cup race. In 2003 he started at the Skeleton World Championships for the first time . In Nagano he finished 18th. In 2005 he won the title at the Canadian Championships. The best result in a World Cup race he achieved in November 2005 as second behind Eric Bernotas in Lake Placid. The climax in a good 2005/06 season, which he finished sixth in the overall World Cup, was his participation in the Olympic Games in Turin . There he just missed the bronze medal in fourth place behind Gregor Stähli .
