Snorre Pedersen

Snorre Pedersen (born July 3, 1972 in Lillehammer ) is a former Norwegian skeleton rider .

Snorre Pedersen made his debut in Skeleton World Cup in December 1997 . In La Plagne he finished 26th. In February 1999 he finished ninth in the Königssee race for the first time in the top ten. He then appeared in Altenberg for the first time at a skeleton world championship and finished in 16th place. In January 2000 he achieved his best World Cup result with second place on his home track in Lillehammer . 2002 started Pedersen at the Olympic Winter Games of Salt Lake City , where skeleton was re-olympic for the first time since 1948th Pedersen took 14th place. Other good results were seventh place at the 2003 European Skeleton Championship in St. Moritz and tenth place at the 2003 Skeleton World Championship in Nagano . Three times, from 2003 to 2005, Pedersen was Norwegian champion . In 2005 he ended his active career. At the 2006 Olympic Winter Games of Turin Pedersen coach was Desirée Bjerke . He is married to the Swiss Olympic champion, world and European champion Maya Pedersen-Bieri , whom he also trains. Both have a daughter and a second child is currently on the way.
