Deanna Panting

Deanna Panting (born October 25, 1964 ) is a Canadian skeleton pilot .

Dianna Panting began playing skeleton in 1996 and has been a member of the Canadian national team since 1998. She was trained by Willi Schneider and Adam Lockhart, currently by Teresa Schlachter . Panting made his World Cup debut in December 1998 at a race in Park City . Here she was immediately sixth. In February 2000, the Winnipeg woman won her first and so far only World Cup race in Winterberg . In the overall ranking she was seventh in 1999, sixth in 2000, eighth in 2001 and seventh again in 2003.

At world championships Panting was able to achieve good placings several times, but never win a medal. The Canadian finished seventh in Igls in 2000 and tenth in Calgary in 2001 . She was far more successful at the North American Championships . In 1997 and 1999 she won the title, in 1998 silver behind Mellisa Hollingsworth and in 2000 and 2003 bronze. At the Canadian championships, she came on the podium for the first time in 1998 and won bronze. In 2000 panting became champion, in 2001 runners-up behind Michelle Kelly .
