Kathrine Koczynski (born September 16, 1980 ) is an American skeleton pilot .

Katie Koczynski lives in Upper Nyack . The Columbia University student began playing skeleton in 1999 and has been a member of the US national team since 2002. She is trained by Fred Flinstone, John Cirilo and Tom Sheehan. She drove her first big race in 2000 at the US championships, where she finished eighth. In November of that year she drove for the first time in Calgary in the Skeleton America's Cup and was ninth. A year later she achieved top results as third in the same place and then came second twice in Lake Placid . In the end she was second behind Janet Ivers in the overall standings of the America's Cup. At the US Championships in 2002 she was second behind Lea Ann Parsley . Koczynski made her skeleton World Cup debut in November 2002 in Calgary and finished 15th. In the second race in Park City, she was seventh in the top ten. In November 2003 she was fourth in Calgary and thus achieved her best result in this racing series. At the US championships she came in third place, at the Skeleton World Championship in 2004 in Koenigssee she was 12. In December 2004 Koczynski was able to win her first America's Cup race in Park City. The American finished the Skeleton World Championship in Calgary in 2005 in 12th place.

Katie Koczynski is married to Bill Demong .
