The 2007/08 Skeleton World Cup was a series of skeleton competitions organized by the FIBT between November 29, 2007 and February 24, 2008 . The Intercontinental Cup , the European Cup and the America's Cup formed the substructure . The FIBT Skeleton Ranking 2007/08 was created for the first time on the basis of all results .

Starting places

For both men and women, the USA, Canada, Germany and Great Britain were each allowed to nominate three starters for World Cup races. Two places were given to Latvia, Russia, Japan, Switzerland, Austria and the Netherlands for men, and Great Britain, Switzerland, Japan and Russia for women. France, New Zealand, Bermuda, Italy, Croatia and Ireland got only one place for the men, Norway, Italy, New Zealand, Latvia and the US Virgin Islands for the women. Athletes from other nations only had to obtain start authorizations in lower-class competitions such as the Skeleton Intercontinental Cup , the Skeleton European Cup and the America's Cup .
