Teresita Bramante Vallana

Teresita Bramante Vallana (born May 16, 1977 in Locarno ) is a sportswoman with the citizenships of Switzerland and Italy. She does athletics (for Switzerland) and skeleton (for Italy) and was also active as a bobsleigh athlete at times .

Teresita Bramante started athletics in 1991. In addition to the distances over 100 and 200 meters, her most important disciplines are the long jump and the triple jump . At the Swiss Junior Championships in the triple jump she was second in 1998, a year later third, also in the long jump. In 2002 she became champion in Liechtenstein in the long jump , in 2003 she was third at the Swiss Indoor Championships and seventh in the triple jump. At the open-air championships of the year she was runner-up in the long jump. Until 2007 she was in the top ten several times, but won no more medals.

Between 2003 and 2006, Bramante competed in the bobsleigh in the winter months. Mostly she started in the Bobsleigh European Cup , the best result was a second place in 2005 in St. Moritz . She contested her only race in the Bobsleigh World Cup in the same place a year later and came in 23rd. In 2006 she switched to skeleton. Here she made her debut in November when she finished twelfth in the Skeleton European Cup in Igls . At the Italian championships in 2007 she finished second behind Costanza Zanoletti . Shortly thereafter, she first took part in the 2007 Skeleton World Championship . In Igls she was used in the team competition and was seventh with the Italian team. Then Bramante made her debut in Cesana Pariol in 24th place in the Skeleton World Cup . At the end of the season she appeared for the first time at the European Skeleton Championships in Koenigssee in 2008 and was 17th. In the first half of the subsequent 2007/08 season , Bramante started in the European Cup and achieved fifth place in Cesana Pariol as the best placement. In the second half of the season she advanced to the World Cup and achieved her best World Cup result to date with 21st place in St. Moritz. In 2008 and 2009 she was again second in the Italian championships behind Zanoletti, in 2010 she finished third and in 2011 again second place.
