Maggie Davies
Maggie Davies (born October 2, 1984 in Liverpool ) is a British skeleton pilot .
Maggie Davies from Cardiff has been involved in skeleton since 2004. The student is trained by Markus Kottman , previously Michael Grünberger , Mark Wood and Danny Holdcroft. Davies made her international debut in a race for the America's Cup in November 2006 in Calgary . In six races of the competition within the next two months, she was always able to achieve placements between sixth and second. In the overall standings she was third behind Anne O'Shea and Jessica Palmer . In January 2007 she first drove a race in the European Skeleton Cup (11th) in Winterberg and then competed in her first race in the Skeleton World Cup (23rd) in the same place next month . She finished the European Skeleton Championship in Königssee in 13th place. Davies achieved her best result in the World Cup the following season, finishing 14th in Lake Placid .
