The 2018/19 Skeleton World Cup started on December 8, 2018 in Sigulda and ended on February 24, 2019 in Calgary . The World Cup comprised eight stations in North America and Europe and was held parallel to the Bobsleigh World Cup 2018/19 . The racing series was organized by the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation (IBSF).

The highlight of the season was the 2019 Skeleton World Championship in Whistler , Canada , the results of which do not count towards the World Cup. Also found simultaneously with the World Cup in Innsbruck the Skeleton European Championships in 2019 instead. The substructure is the Intercontinental Cup and below it the European Cup and the North American Cup . The runs of all four racing series were included in the IBSF Skeleton Ranking 2018/19 via a staggered point system .

Due to the severe onset of winter at the beginning of 2019 , the races on the Königssee artificial ice rink were canceled because the railway workers could no longer cope with the snow masses in the time required. The races were made up for at the last World Cup in Calgary.
