Ronald Auderset (born December 19, 1989 ) is a Swiss skeleton pilot .

Career

Ronald Auderset lives in Düdingen in the canton of Friborg and joined skeleton in 2006 at the initiative of his then sports teacher Cédric Tamani at the Holy Cross College . In January 2008 he started in the European Cup for the first time and his best result was 25. He also started in the European Cup in the following years and finally achieved his first podium places in January 2013 , two third places in Igls . At the Junior World Championships , his best result was a tenth place in 2008, also in Igls. At the end of 2013, he contested his first two races in the Intercontinental Cup and immediately finished in the top ten.

In the winter of 2014/15 Auderset made his debut in the World Cup with a 22nd place in Lake Placid . During the season his best results were two 18th places in St. Moritz and Sotschi . At the European Championships in La Plagne he was 13th and at the World Championships in Winterberg 25th. In 2015/16 he was also able to qualify directly for the World Cup and achieved his best performance so far in the third race in Königssee with 18th place.
