The 27th Skeleton World Championship took place from February 25 to March 10, 2019, together with the 2019 Bobsleigh World Championship , at the Whistler Sliding Center in Whistler , Canada .

Award

The venue was determined by the delegates of the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation (IBSF) in June 2015 in Ghent, Belgium . Whistler prevailed in the second ballot with 20 to 19 votes against Altenberg in Saxony . The Swiss municipality of St. Moritz had also applied , but was eliminated in the first ballot.
