Nadezhda Wiktorowna Sergejewa ( Russian: Надежда Викторовна Сергеева , born June 13, 1987 in Kemerovo , Russian SFSR , Soviet Union ; English Nadezhda Sergeeva ) is a Russian bobsleigh athlete .

Career

Sergejewa took part in the 2014 Winter Olympics and took 14th place with Nadezhda Palejewa in the two-man bobsleigh.

In March 2016, an increased meldonium value was found in a doping test. The product had been on the WADA list of prohibited substances since the beginning of the year , and accordingly there was no ban because the tolerance range was not exceeded.

Sergejewa achieved her greatest sporting success to date at the European Bobsleigh Championships 2017 in Winterberg, where she won the silver medal with pusher Anastassija Kochershova .

She was also a participant in the 2018 Winter Olympics , but was subsequently excluded because of a doping test positive for trimetazidine . In the run-up to the Olympics, Sergeyeva said in interviews that she was not dope and wore a sweater that said “I don't do doping” as part of an advertising campaign for Russian athletes. She was later found trimetazidine at the games and did not open the B sample. Your ban was subsequently lifted by the International Court of Justice for Sports (CAS). This meant that she was eligible to start again for the next 2018/19 World Cup season .

In December 2018 at the World Cup in Sigulda , Latvia , Sergejewa came second behind the German Mariama Jamanka .
