Sandra Kiriasis , née Sandra Prokoff (born January 4, 1975 in Dresden ) is a former German bobsleigh pilot . From 2003 to 2011 she was overall world cup winner nine times , 2006 Olympic champion and won seven world championship titles.

Career

Kiriasis, who grew up in Geising in the Ore Mountains , started cross-country skiing at the age of five, switched to luge in 1985 and then to bobsleigh in 2000. She started for the RSG Hochsauerland . In addition to Kiriasis himself, Berit Wiacker and Petra Lammert as brakes, Bernhard Lehmann as exercise bike and Wolfram Schweizer as technical advisor belonged to the Kiriasis bobsleigh team .

In July 1993, she was a soldier at the time, in October 1993, it came as a sports soldier for sports promotion group of the Bundeswehr in Warendorf . In July 2014, Kiriasis ended her sports career. Shortly before she left the Bundeswehr in July 2016, she was promoted to Sergeant in the Reserve. In 2017 she completed a dual bachelor's degree in “Health Sports and Prevention” at the University of Applied Sciences for Sport and Management Potsdam as the best of the year with an average of 1.2. The topic of her bachelor thesis was The top athlete as top entrepreneur - a study on the genesis of success of top athletes as holistic entrepreneurs .

Kiriasis coached Jamaica's women's bobsleigh team , which qualified in the two-man bobsleigh for the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang . Before the women's bobsleigh competition, she was fired from the Jamaican Bobsleigh Federation.

Participation in television shows

Kiriasis regularly took part as a team member in the " Wok World Cup " from TV total and won two gold and two silver medals.

In January 2019, she was a contestant for the thirteenth season of I'm a Star - Get Me Out of Here! and took fourth place there. At the start of the thirteenth season, she and Indira Weis as a ski bunny feat. Bobhase released the jointly recorded song Es geht auf's Eis . Then she also took part in the "Jungle Special" from The Perfect Celebrity Dinner . In September 2019 she appeared in the first edition of Renn zur Million ... if you can! on. In January 2020 she was a guest at Ich bin ein Star - The Hour After .
