Annika Drazek (born April 11, 1995 in Gladbeck ) is a German federal police officer, bobsleigh athlete and former athlete .
Career
Drazek began her sporting career as a sprinter. She practiced athletics for eleven years and was one of the best young sprinters in Germany. At the 2011 World Youth Athletics Championships and at the 2013 European Junior Athletics Championships , she finished seventh in the hundred-meter run.
Then Drazek switched to bobsleigh. As Anja Schneiderheinze's pusher , she was runner-up in the two-man bobsleigh world championship in 2015 . The two won gold at the European Bobsleigh Championships in 2016 and the 2016 World Bobsleigh Championships .
After Anja Schneiderheinze had ended her career in 2016, Annika Drazek started at the 2017 European Bobsleigh Championships in Winterberg as a pusher for Mariama Jamanka . They won the competition at the European Championships. At the 2018 European Bobsleigh Championships in Innsbruck-Igls , which was held in 2017 due to the 2018 Winter Olympics , she started as Stephanie Schneider's pusher and won the European title for the third time in a row.
