Kehri Jones (born November 30, 1993 in Fort Hood ) is a former American bobsleigh driver who was active as a pusher. In 2017 she won the gold medal in the two-man bobsleigh at the 2017 Bobsleigh World Championship as Elana Meyers Taylors' pusher .

Career

In 2015, Kehri Jones came to bobsleigh and was then trained to be a pusher. She completed her first race at the World Cup race in Winterberg on December 5, 2015. As a pusher for Elana Meyers Taylor, she finished second on her debut. On January 14, 2016, she was active as a pusher for Elana Meyers Taylor in the 2015/16 Bobsleigh European Cup and the two won the race on January 14, 2016 in Innsbruck . Two days later she competed in the four-man bobsleigh at the European Cup and was one of three pushers for Elana Meyers Taylor's four-man bobsleigh alongside Kristen Hurley and Terra Evans . After the first round, they finished 29th and missed the second round.

At the 2016 Bobsleigh World Championships , Kehri Jones did not start together with Elena Meyers Taylor, but was used as a pusher by Katie Eberling . After four runs in the Innsbruck-Igls Olympic ice channel, the two finished eighth. After the world championships, an exhibition race for four-man bobsleighs took place in Innsbruck on February 21, 2016. Kehri Jones took part in this competition as part of the crew of Elana Meyers Taylor. In the competition in the Olympic track in Innsbruck they took fourth and thus last place. At the World Cup on the Königssee artificial ice rink on February 26, 2016, Kehri Jones was able to win a World Cup race for the first time together with Elana Meyers Taylor. They won ahead of the Canadian bob by Kaillie Humphries and the German bob by Anja Schneiderheinze . At the end of the 2015/16 season , Elena Meyers Taylor's team finished eighth in the overall ranking of the World Cup.

Kehri Jones was used for the first time in the 2016/17 season on January 6, 2017 in Altenberg. Behind the Canadian bob by Kaillie Humphries, she finished second as the pusher for Elana Meyers Taylor. A week later, the two won the Winterberg World Cup race ahead of Mariama Jamanka's German bobsleigh and Jamie Greubel Poser 's US bobsleigh . In addition, on January 27, 2017, she was able to win the Königssee World Cup ahead of Jamie Greubel Poser's US bobsleigh and Mariama Jamanka's German bobsleigh. At the 2017 Bobsleigh World Championships, Kehri Jones was used as a pusher for Elana Meyers Taylor and the two won the gold medal in front of the Canadian bob by Kallie Humphries and the US bob by Jamie Greubel Poser.

In the 2017/18 season , she and Elana Meyers Taylor finished third on the Whistler Olympic track on November 24, 2017 . On November 28, 2017, Kehri Jones was used as a pusher in the North American Cup for the first time. Together with the pilot Brittany Reinbolt , she finished third in the US triple victory. One day later she started the second race in Park City as Kristi Koplin's pusher and finished sixth with her. For the last time Kehri Jones was active as a pusher on December 16, 2017. In the victory of Stephanie Schneider's German bobsleigh , she took second place as a pusher for Elana Meyers Taylor.
