Ulrike Holzner (born September 18, 1968 in Mainz ) is a former German athlete who was initially active in athletics at USC Mainz ( long jump and heptathlon ) and then in the two-man bobsleigh .

Two-man bobsleigh

Athletics from USC Mainz switched to bobsleigh in 1999. In January 2000, the multiple German champion started together with her pilot Katrin Dosthaler at the German Championships at Königssee, where she finished second in the first race of her bobsleigh career. The nomination for the German national team for the 2000/01 World Cup season followed. After two ninth places in the Overseas World Cup in Calgary, she switched to the Prokoff bobsleigh team. Together with Sandra Prokoff, Ulrike Holzner won the first World Cup for Germany on the Olympic track in Salt Lake City. In the 2001/02 World Cup season, the Prokoff / Holzner bobsleigh team won all World Cup races. Together with her pilot Sandra Prokoff , she won the silver medal in the two-man bobsleigh at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City . For this, both were awarded the silver bay leaf on May 6, 2002 .

Together with Sandra Prokoff, she also took part in the following bobsleigh competitions:
