1998 Skeleton World Championship

The 1998 Skeleton World Championship was held on January 30th and 31st, 1998 in St. Moritz , Switzerland . In contrast to the Bobsleigh World Championships , a skeleton world championship was held in the Olympic year because skeleton was not yet an Olympic discipline at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano .
