2004 World Skeleton Kick-Off Championship

The 2004 Skeleton Kick-Off World Championship on July 3rd was held in Leipzig . For the first time, they took place in parallel to the bobsleigh start-up competitions that had been taking place for some time. Apart from the German starters, the participants belonged mainly to the less important skeleton nations, with only two women at the start.

The event was held across from Leipzig Central Station , where a 150-meter-long taxiway was built on which the time was recorded over a length of 45 meters. A total of three runs were carried out, the results of which were added. The event suffered from rainy weather.
