List of skeleton push world champions

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The list of skeleton start-up world champions includes all medal winners of the FIBT start-up world championships in skeleton since the first World Championship in 2002 until the last time in 2007.

Competition rules

In the case of a kick-off world championship, a track with a length of around 150 meters is set up; it includes the start zone, the actual time measurement zone and the run-off zone. The skeleton pilot's start-up time is taken over a distance of 45 meters. In contrast to normal skeleton races, a kick-off competition is all about quick start-up time and not about driving talent. The skeleton competitions sometimes took place parallel to the bobsleigh competitions that had been held for some time .
