Cindy Ninos

Cynthia Susan "Cindy" Ninos ( Greek Σύνθια Νίνου Synthia Ninou ; born March 27, 1972 in San Francisco , United States ) is a Greek skeleton pilot .

Cindy Ninos competed in international skeleton competitions between the 2000/01 and 2002/03 seasons . She made her first three races at the end of 2000 as part of the America's Cup . In Calgary , Park City and Lake Placid , she finished 14th in the overall standings for the season. The highlight of the season was participation in the 2001 Skeleton World Championship in Calgary, where Ninos was 24th. Last race of the season was the first and only World Cup race of her career, where she finished 23rd at Park City. For the next season, Ninos competed in the Skeleton European Cup and the Challenge Cup. At the 2002 Skeleton World Cup in Groningen , Ninos finished third out of three participants. The highlight of the season was the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City , where a women's skeleton competition was held for the first time as part of the Games. Here Ninos took 13th and last place.
