Dany Locati

Dany Locati (born January 3, 1977 in Villasanta ) is a former Italian skeleton pilot .

Dany Locati from Bob Club Cristallo has been running the skeleton since 1994 and has been a member of the Italian national team since 1998. The Milanese was trained by Hansjörg Raffl . Locati made her skeleton World Cup debut in January 1999 in Igls , where she finished 14th. She achieved her first top 10 result a year later at the Skeleton World Championship in 2000, again in Igls, when she came tenth. In 2002 she competed in the first edition of a skeleton race at the Olympic Games in Salt Lake City and finished ninth. At the start-up world championships in Groningen in July 2002 , the Italian won the silver medal. Locati achieved other good results at the 2004 European Skeleton Championships in Altenberg with a sixth place and shortly afterwards at the 2004 Skeleton World Championships in Königssee with an eighth place. At the Universiade 2005 in Igls she came in seventh place. In 2002 she won the Tyrolean championship, in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2004 the Italian championship title . After she could not qualify for the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin , she ended her career.
