Laëtitia Roux (born June 21, 1985 in Gap ) is a French ski mountaineer and multiple title holder.

biography

Roux started ski mountaineering at the age of nine. In autumn 2005 she joined the PACA section of the Fédération française de la montagne et de l'escalade (FFME) through an acquaintance who was also active there . In December she took part in a race for the first time, the Alpi-Champsaur , where she finished 73rd.

After she won the championship title at the French junior championship, the first junior world cup and the world championship in the vertical race in 2006 and achieved 9th place in the senior ranking at the world championship vertical race, she was also able to win the French championship in ski mountaineering and in 2007 Vertical Race (also in team competitions) secure first place. She also took first place in ski mountaineering and in the vertical race at the European Championships in the same year, as well as second place in the relay competition with Corinne Favre and Véronique Lathuraz . In the 2007 World Cup ranking she came first in the junior ranking and third in the women's ranking. Also in 2007 she took first place among the Espoirs at the Traça Catalana . In the Patrouille des Glaciers she won in 2008 along with Nathalie Bourillon and Corinne Favre second place, the same year at the World Championships of Ski Mountaineering the second, in the vertical race in eighth place and in the Pierra Menta in a team with Etzensperger Nathalie Place 1. Also, At the World Cup ski mountaineering in Val d'Aran , she won the bronze medal in the women's category in 2008.

Roux is a member of the international Dynafit team. She is a student and lives in the Hautes-Alpes department .
