Véronique Lathuraz (born July 2, 1968 ) is a former French ski mountaineer .

Career

As a member of the Equipe de France de Ski de Montagne ( German-  French national ski mountaineering team ) from 1997 to 2009, Lathuraz achieved several national and international successes as one of the most successful French ski mountaineers. After she was third in the national ranking in 1997 and 1998, and in both years achieved second place at Pierra Menta together with Danièle Hacquard , she started with Alexia Zuberer for the first time in 1999 and came third with her. After just one year, Sigrid Tomio became your team partner.

At the 2001 European Championships , she was seventh in the team with partner Anne Laure Fourneaux . At the 2002 World Championships in Serre Chevalier , she started with Nathalie Bourillon and won bronze. She also won bronze together with Corinne Favre at the EM 2013 in the High Tatras.

At the 2004 World Cup , Lathuraz won the silver medal in the relay together with Nathalie Bourillon and Delphine Oggeri . This was the best World Cup result of her career. In the individual it was only enough for seventh place. She finished sixth in the combination and fifth in the team.

In the following years up to the end of her career in 2009, she was able to win several World Cup and European Championship medals. A world or European championship title did not materialize.
