The Ski Jumping World Cup 2010/11 (official sponsor name : BAUHAUS FIS World Cup Ski Jumping 2010/11 ) was a series of competitions in ski jumping held by the FIS World Ski Association between November 27, 2010 and March 20, 2011 . There were 26 individual and 5 team competitions at 16 different locations in Europe and Asia. The two individual competitions planned in Harrachov had to be canceled due to the wind. One of the competitions was made up in Engelberg, the other in Zakopane, so that the number of individual competitions did not change. The dates were made at the FIS Congress 2010, which took place from May 31 to June 5, 2010 in Antalya, Turkey took place, finally determined.

The defending champion of the overall World Cup was Simon Ammann from Switzerland , and Robert Kranjec from Slovenia who won the Ski Flying World Cup last year . The defending champion of the Nations Cup was Austria. Thomas Morgenstern won the overall World Cup 393 points ahead of Ammann, the small crystal ball went to Gregor Schlierenzauer . It was the second triumph for both of them. Once again, Austria won the Nations Cup with a new record.

Changes to the regulations

In the preseason tested in selected competitions usually variable run length and a point deduction or credit notes for changing wind conditions, was applied from this season regularly in all competitions of the World Cup. In contrast to the test phase of the previous year, a unanimous decision by the jury was necessary in order to shorten the run-up length.

In addition, the rules for building jumps have been revised. In future, the maximum difference in height between the take-off table and the lowest point of the run-out on ski flying hills may be 135 meters (previously 130 meters). This new regulation made it possible to expand the Vikersundbakken into the HS225.

Due to the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo , the Nordic Tournament was canceled this season .
