Andreas Strolz (born August 1, 1988 in Bludenz ) is an Austrian ski jumper .

Career

Strolz was accepted into Austria's junior selection in 2003 at the age of 15 and competed in his first international competitions. At the beginning of 2004 he also competed in his first FIS jumping and shortly afterwards he started jumping in the FIS Cup . In January 2006 he made his debut in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup in Planica , but did not get over a 60th and a 61st place. In July 2006 he started again in the Continental Cup in Villach and was able to win his first Continental Cup points with 19th and 20th place. At the Junior World Championships 2007 in Tarvisio he was used in the team for the first time and reached 11th place with this. From the end of 2007 he was a permanent member of the Continental Cup. At the Junior World Championships in Zakopane in 2008 , he won bronze in individual jumping and silver with the team. On January 5, 2009 he was used for the first time as part of the national group in the qualification for a World Cup jumping, but already retired in the qualification. On December 9th, 2009 he won a Continental Cup competition in Rovaniemi for the first time , after he had already reached 3rd place in the jumping on the previous day. On January 3rd and 5th, 2010 he again took part in the qualifications for the World Cup competitions in Innsbruck and Bischofshofen , but could not qualify for the finals in both competitions.
